Star Wars POTF - Momaw Nadon

Although only briefly seen in the Mos Eisley cantina in A New Hope, Momaw Nadon had a sad tale to tell.

Nadon was a High Priest on his home planet of Ithor.  He kept the secrets of agriculture that enabled the Ithorians to flourish.  All too soon the Empire came to Ithor seeking the secrets that would help them feed their vast armies.  Nadon was forced to reveal his secrets as he watched his beloved planet being destroyed by orbiting lasers.  He saved the planet, but had betrayed his ancient secrets to the enemy, so was exiled to Tatooine where he kept a garden in memory of his home..
